One night last week, with dinner done I spied an errant mouse Flash right across my counter top Then down to some secret house
Oh Mickey, what a pity Sorry about the trap Though your days were swiftly numbered When you found that covert gap.
The scream was heard for miles around While my dishes hit the floor And glass of wine was tossed aside As I ran straight for the door
Oh Mickey, what a pity Hate to think you’re squirming But furtive guests must know their place Not pets! Not cute! Just vermin!
Then the realization hit me - That I'd nowhere else to go So back to a nightful of shudders And fear the impostor would show
Oh Mickey, what a pity You don’t understand I’m loath to electrocute you But I have to. (And I can!)
A great hero came forth to the rescue Brave and bold, for the lady who cries Soon the kitchen was ambushed and armored To ensure, quick and firm, the trespasser's demise
Oh Mickey, what a pity Look what you’ve done to me A cold mouse murderer I’ve become Who cares – at last I’m free!
